*Edit- Figured out her name and back story. Her name is Adena and she is officially more my character than Ben's now. Muahaha.*
Working on some long postponed character designs for a project called "Steam".
This is a princess character proposed by my coworker Ben. So far all he’s told me is that he wanted a princess. With that abundant information I threw my arms up, said “screw it” and went all out with cliches. GAUSSIAN FILTER EVERYWHERE.
The events of this story are set in a desert climate, so I decided to give Princess No name an exotic “Orientalist” look. She comes from an invading culture, so I wanted to push how out of place she is in that climate with her almost albino coloration. She also flaunts that she has conquered the community by adorning herself with an impractical level of swag from the conquered land.
As for direct inspiration I will admit that the princess from Little Nemo and Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones influenced this character’s look. Here’s hoping Ben has great things in store for her.

Also, this is simply beautiful. It seems to have some inspiration from Zelda too, with the colors/scroll work of the dress, but that doesn't take away from the idea, but simply adds to it. It's gorgeous!
