Sand Guppy

_{A bit of an apology for yesterday's eyesore. Felt like a quick cute sketch was in order. Also, 3 guesses what shows have been influencing my style lately.}

This is Sand (Sandra to adults, and Sandy to team mates trying to annoy her). She's your average spunky 8 year girl with a "go-get 'em" attitude and a big heart. Because she is still too young for insecurity to make a claim on her, she has boundless confidence and energy, causing her to jump (almost sporadically) from one challenge/mission to the next.

It's probably because of this tireless enthusiasm that Sand devotes much of herself to sports and physical activities, her favorite being swimming. She is a member of the Tanglelake Goldfish swim team, where she is on the Guppy junior team. Being as she is a competitive 8 year old, this is where her seemingly most "important" life events happen, and are the reason for her almost perpetual fish suit costume (note though, the outer fish layer is actually a towel suit she wears between races. The team suit is underneath and blue in color). _{She also secretly wishes she was a mermaid, but more on that at a later time}

As for other information, Sand is a hopeless romantic in that innocent Disney Love sort of way. Of course the adult mechanics behind it are an ambiguous mystery to her, but she is still a sucker for characters getting together in movies, regardless how unlikely/ridiculous it seems to wiser eyes. Because she can't distinguish reality from the movies yet, she insists that all anyone needs to be happy is another someone, and she makes it her duty to pair up any singles unfortunate enough to be in her path (ranging from teachers, older team mates, her siblings/their friends, her toys, etc. No single left behind is her policy). Also, she enjoys going around bragging about her crush on her High School age Junior Coach and how she is going to marry him one day, much to his continual chagrin.

Tl;dr : Sand is a silly, energetic and carefree character who is simply fun to draw and allows me to reflect on my own days as an 8 year old. Teehee.
